She is Just Too Cute!!

I bought this costume for Aimee years ago
and she never really liked it.
She just was not really into the princess thing.

I couldn't pass it up for as inexpensive as it was from the Disney store,
SOME little girl I knew would love it!

Then I had hoped Becca could wear it.

Still waiting for it to fit her tiny little body.

Belle tried on the princess Belle dress the other day
and look,
she is too cute!

She was blowing kisses to her royal subjects!

I love my little girl!

(I also love that I was a pack-rat with the Halloween costumes!!)

Found a hidden park

Kiddos and I were out taking a hike the other day.
It was really pretty out there.
Weather was perfect and we were just ready to hike.

After a little bit we found an area with some random fireplace/BBQ's, water spouts and picnic tables.

So we stopped and got all the sticker things out of the bottoms of our shoes.
Posed for a few cute pictures and found in the back corner...
 ...a nature center.

Inside the nature center, which was free to enter so I totally loved that part, we saw a rescued deer.
She was really pretty and eventually came up to see us for all of 15 seconds.
Here is one of the rescued falcons.
They are big.
This is a smaller bird, called an American Kestrel, it was very...loud.
Here is one of the two owls they had.
I need an owl in my back yard!
No more rats and mice that way!!
Whoo hoo!!
Belle is so cute, she was trying to make the bird fly.
She was showing him how to flap his wings.
:)
 Here are their two tortoises.
Oh Michael Jr sooo wants one!

There was a little museum in there too.
It was free also.

So we went and checked it out too.
 Tons of taxidermy in there.
Aimee was not happy.
She had to leave she was so grossed out.

 Belle liked the fox.
No, she will not be getting one no matter how cute she is asking for one.

Let her take over the camera duties instead.
Here is her best shot.
It is a tarantula.
There were a few live animals in there like this and snakes.
They had bones and interesting boards of information.

Not a bad find on a hike!

Walk for Life 2012

Okay, I know I am so far behind in my blogging.
We have just been really busy!!
Here is one reason why.
Aimee and I got really involved with the Walk For Life this year.
It was awesome!!
This little cutie was too small for the Walk t-shirts so we got her this cute outfit and she brought along a little baby that symbolized a 12 week old baby in the womb.

So here we were getting it all together.
Aimee and her friends had the balloons.
 I had registration.
That was actually more fun than I thought!
Here  were some of the walking signs that were available...
 and some of the displays.
There was this really nice guy who made balloon animals for the kids before and after the walk.
 He was ready!
My handsome son was up for saving the lives of the innocent babies!!
He is a good kid!!

 Here we are!!
Walking the streets feeling good with all the cheers we got  from passers by.

Love how many people showed up this year
just because it is the right thing to do.

After the walk the kiddos got to have some fun.
Belle did not win the dash this year, but that is ok.
She handled it like a lady with only tiny grumbles.

I did not get to go and have fun with them.
I had my own fun serving food to everyone.
It was pay by suggested donation but free to those who walked.
We had so many wonderful companies donate food to the walk.
We had Chick-fil-a, hot dogs, snow-cones, italian ice, cotton candy, bakery cookies (don't remember the bakery) Carl's Jr and Trader Joe's (those two usually support Pro-Choice so this was by the specific location managers donations. Made those donations even more special.)
The favorite was Chick-fil-a.
I actually ran out!!

These are some of the cotton candies that were considered "small"
Yikes!
Lots of jumpers for the kids to play on!
My kids got tons of use out of them!
Then Michael and Michael Jr left for a birthday party.
Telling you the fun never stops in our house!!
We girls stuck it out to help with the clean up.

Lucky Belle was right there when they were emptying out the snow-cone machine!!
She loved not letting the ice go to waste.

Just a cute picture during clean up here.

Any who, thank you to those of you who knew what we were up to and sent our family
sponsor money. We helped the organization earn over $22,000.00!
That means as a whole that is what was made not what we brought to them.
Our family brought in over $330
in donations from friends and family who sponsored us!!

That helps save babies lives,
helps save families from becoming destroyed,
hearts from being crushed,
helps God win!

 I love my family!

Teaching my youngest to serve

Really I have been all my children about serving others and the gifts we get from doing so.
The other morning my littlest woke up while I was still in morning prayer. I wanted her to know I was in conversation with the Lord so I spoke a bit of my prayers out loud. A few names were mentioned and she knew exactly who and what I was praying about.
When I had finished her sweet little voice piped up with "Mommy, why don't we make cookies? Cookies always make us smile and maybe it will make our friends smile too?"

Leave it to the little princess to come up with something so simple yet filled with love to share with others. What a love.
So together she and I started making cookies.

The others woke up when they heard the noises.
We told them what we were doing and they wanted to help too.

Before you knew it we had cookies made for some sweet friends and neighbors who we wanted to share a moment of unexpected happy with.

Here is Belle helping me pack some of the cookies for shipping off to
friends that don't live just around the corner.

Belle, again being so on target, thought notes of encouragement should go in the boxes too.
In they went and off to the post office we traveled to send off our surprise smiles!!

I always tell the kids that when we serve others we get a gift in return.
The smile on someone's face when they receive something sweet is priceless.
It lets them know you care and you feel they are important in your life.
That is such a blessing.

Belle was a bit luckier.

She got a belated birthday gift in the mail right after we got back from the post office.

We blessed others and were blessed ourselves!!
